The State
The state functions to protect the interests of the elite. All its institutions – education, judiciary, law and order, military – provide the necessary infrastructure and assurance for the maintenance and perpetuation of the system.
The Media
The media functions to legitimise the system of unequal wealth that begets the power and privilege the elites enjoy. This legitimation is achieved through the narrative of presenting the system as part of enduring human nature.
The People
The people function to serve the system as its cogs. They are meant to embrace the mythology of the systems enduring nature as all there is, and the best there is. Those among the people who refuse this position and seek a more just way of organising society are The Fourth Estate.
